The course is designed as an experiential journey aimed at gradually refining active observation, aesthetic perception, and hand-eye coordination. Once students have gained the theoretical knowledge and technical skills necessary to depict the human face and figure—and apply essential shadow theory, chiaroscuro, and perspective to them—they will be encouraged to explore their own creative and expressive solutions through a personal interpretive approach.
